Re: Spadafora of Calabria
Tessa, I believe that is my Patsy, but I'm not sure why the birthday is 5 Dec 1875... Like suanj said, maybe that is some kind of error? Although it's a strangely specific error... But thank you for that image! I'm saving it on my computer.
suanj, yes, that is the correct arrival and census record ...

Spadafora of Calabria
Hello,
I am searching for information on Francesco Spadafora and wife "Margaret" Martino. All I have is names, as were written on their son, Pasquale Spadafora (b. 25 Jan 1874 in Italy d. 25 Feb 1930 in WV)'s death certificate. I am reasonably sure that they were from somewhere in Calabria, and s ...

Bartolone Family of Bagheria, Palermo
Because of the help I received at this forum, I was able to trace my family back very far. The oldest Bartolone I've been able to find is Carmelo Bartolone, born 1764 in Bagheria, died 7 May 1848, married to Domenica Gaipa. Their children were Domenico, Salvadore, Gregorio, Giuseppe, Maria, and ...

Re: ?Rosalia? Magguire
Thanks pink67. I should have elaborated though. I also looked at the record image, and tried searching for Maggiore as well. Still nothing. The problem is I don't think she or Carmelo ever came to America. For instance, in 1919, their son Filippo listed them (his parents) as dependent on him and ...

Re: Riccabono Surname
Okay. I've found something out. According to the 1930 census, Josephine/Guiseppina emigrated here in 1914. She married Filippo/Philip when she was 17, so that would be appr. 1915. However, since it was so quick after she arrived, I'm guessing they were engaged beforehand. My hope is that someone out ...

vj, that was my other thread. LOL. But thank you.
wld, can i send away for that record as well? As to the link you posted, it just leads to a little notecard with her name on it... is that what its supposed to be?
Thank you all for your help so far.

wldspirit, both of those records are correct. And no, I did not even think about doing that. Wow. Thank you. I guess I will get on that as soon as possible.

Re: Riccabono Surname
I'm sorry. She married Philip Bartolone b. and they were settled in Detroit before 1930 but probably after 1920.

Riccabono Surname
Hello. I am having trouble finding my ancestor Josephine Riccabono. I know her exact birth date which is 15 Feb 1898. However, I cant find her in any ship manifests, as I believe she came over from Sicily. Which leads me to think about name changes. These are my ideas: Guiseppa or Guiseppina or some ...
