Re: Palermo marriages
I'm looking for either an index or records of marriages in the city of Palermo from 1900-1901 that are hopefully online. The list or marriages compiled by the late Hugh Tornabene ends at 1895. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Married to Maria Rosalia Cuccia, daughter of Giuseppe Cuccia and Antonina LoCalio. She was born in Piana dei ...

Villaciambra help
Hi everyone. Trying to locate the births and marriage records (and an index would be especially nice) for Villaciambra. Also spelled Villa Ciambra, Villa Sciambra and Villa Schiambra, it is located near Monreale and Parco/Altofonte. Villaciambra is a frazione of Monreale. I looked for the ...

Locations of ufficio 1 and ufficio 2 in Palermo
A lot of names in the Palermo birth and marriage indexes were recorded at these locations. It can probably be assumed (at least I assume) that most often people lived closer to one office or the other which is why their event was recorded there, or there were office boundaries that were similar to ...

Re: Francesco Dragna/ Anna Butera
Thank you. Appreciate the advice. I looked and noticed that there are several "Francescus Paulus ex ignotis parentibus" in the baptismal records. (Here is a link to an old book that gives further explanation of the term: http://books.google.com/books?id=4LsaAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA100&lpg=PA100&dq=ex+ignotis ...

Re: Francesco Dragna/ Anna Butera
Hello everyone. Noticed the great work in finding information on the mother of Ignazio Dragna. I've been searching for the father in the same set of baptismal records, 1837-1847, but have not been able to find the baptismal record for Francesco Paolo Dragna. I assume he would be about the same age ...

Re: info on great grandparents from Caccamo Sicily Landolina
Another Landolina I found living Chicago Heights was Nick Landolina, who lived at 140 East 16th Street in 1929. In Pittsburgh I found a Giuseppe Landolina (born 16 May 1894 in Trabia and died 24 March 1988 in Pittsburgh) who married a Maria Anna Calderone in Pittsburgh in 1932. He was the son of ...

Help with recent death records
Hi. I'm trying to help a couple of people in finding Italian death records. In the first case, the person's great-grandfather died in Camporeale in the 1950s or 60s. He does not have a year of death but has all the other information (name, date of birth, baptism, etc).
In the second case the person ...

Re: info on great grandparents from Caccamo Sicily Landolina
So have you studied this area beyond Al Capone.....say into the Sam Giancana era?
Yes I have, but I specialize in the earlier period. As an example, if you look on the internet and see mention of an article called "The Dreaded D'Andrea" about Anthony D'Andrea of Chicago (Piazza is mentioned there ...
