Hi All.
I'm looking for any information on Filomena Petrarca from Castel di Sangro. I think she was born around 1860-1870 and she was married to Lugi D'Amico.
Thanks.

First name discrepancies-Citizenship App?
Hi All, I just found my GGF BC and ship manifest (thanks pink and vj!) and his first name is different then the family thought and as his other US records indicate. The family new him as Guerino, his 1930/1920 census records and his WWI/WWII draft cards also indicated Guerino but on his BC his given...

Re: Guerino Dascenzo, Micheline D'AMico
I'm pretty sure all of my D'Amico relatives were in Ohio. Vj- Thanks again for the links to the explanation of what the markings mean, I've spent all day reading and re-reading. So, the 6758/38 was his application number and INS checked the documents on 5/20/1942. If I contact the Cincinnati INS off...

Re: Help Translate BC
That is very odd.
I wish I could find out more information about this. Any thoughts on where to look?
I've already requested Micheline/a BC from Itlay hopefully that will uncover something.

Re: Guerino Dascenzo, Micheline D'AMico
Hi DeFilippis, I had come across a post of yours yesterday and saw the D'Amico surname and wondered the same thing. I know nothing about my GGM, Michelina/e D'Amico, side of the family. I *think* her parents were Lugi and Filomena, but that is a stretch. Seeing as VJ found her ship manifest and is s...

Re: Guerino Dascenzo, Micheline D'AMico
It took me a moment to take in everything that Pink and VJ were able to find. I can't express how grateful I am! THANK YOU. I am very concerned on how I am going to prove Orino is Guerino. Any thoughts? Do Marriage Certificates list the groo parents, if so that may be a link? VJ- I'm curious about t...

Re: Guerino Dascenzo, Micheline D'AMico
So I think I have his BC.
Slight discrepancy in the first name Orino not Guerino.
Thoughts?
Am I going to have major issues applying for citizenship because of this? Any advice on this would be great!

Re: Guerino Dascenzo, Micheline D'AMico
Interesting that he has 'PA' on the 1920 and 'AL' on the 1930 census. I'm trying to find out if he was nautralized. Guess I will have to wait for NARA and UCIS

Re: Guerino Dascenzo, Micheline D'AMico
VJ- Thanks for the WWI Draft Card. The only thing I was able to locate for Guerino was the Draft card and 1930s census, via ancestry.com. I checked archives and ellis island, but nothing of value came up. There was a Gicanto Dascenzo that came up but it said his final destination was Canada, so I do...
