what if my mother was italian, but my father wasn't, and I was born outside Italy, but came back later and lived there, and assume I am an italian citizen too... where could my mother's name appear? any document that would mention it?

Re: Is there a family document in Italy that shows the name
Oh thanks, io capisco l'italiano
I understand... I don't think this will help then... because the problem is they never lived in the same household in Italy...
so is there any other document that shows the whole family tree, or at least one's parents?

... the name of one's parents? The "stato di famiglia/ civile" doesn't show that i think... it only shows where one lives, the name of the spouse and children...right? so is there anything else?

Re: Should I be a minor to be entitled for the citizenship..
Yes, but my father is insisting on correcting the legal family document I previously mentioned, before giving the required papers to the embassy and this is one of them... I am just concerned about this issue, will it matter if it is wrong? We cannot seem to correct it... will it be an obstacle in ...

Re: can I apply for the italian citizenship?
In Italy they are registered under their mother's name, but here they are registered under my grandmother's name... What if they ask my father if he has brothers and sisters?
