daughter/father citizenship
My niece is applying through her father's side for citizenship. If she is approved, does her father (who has not applied) automatically get citizenship?

Re: NJ process to order record
Thank you. I've been to that page several times. But it isn't specific to my niece's situation. Besides her BS and he dad's BC, will she need her mom's BC, her parents marriage certificate. One of the reasons the Italians ask US citizens for so much documentation is that there is little clarity ...

NJ process to order record
My niece needs to order her grandfather/mother's marriage certificate. She is not married. I have been unable to reach NJ VR.
What does she need to provide for proof of relationship?
Her BC
her father's BC
What else?

Re: Tessera Sanitaria (health card) Should I?
I understand very little Italian (but am learning). I could not figure out how to look up my SSN. But I will work on it.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Tessera Sanitaria (health card) Should I?
I have been told that obtaining an SSN from any source other than an official Italian government office may result in a wrong number. The site you recommend is not an official gov. site?

Tessera Sanitaria (health card) Should I?
I now have my citizenship and passport. Not planning a trip soon. But should I apply for my Tessera Sanitaria (health card) and my Codice Fiscale (ssn)?

Re: Application - children's Italian birth certificates
Thank you. Translation not required at Boston. Certified copy of mother's passport not required (last I asked).

Application - children's Italian birth certificates
As an Italian citizen, can my children (over 18) apply by mail to the Boston Consulate with their Apostilled US birth certificate and identification for an Italian birth certificate and registration with AIRE?

My comune received all my documents and is now registering them. All this has been confirmed by phone. So, soon I should have my citizenship.

Problem with consulate sending documents
My consulate tried to send my documents to Palermo by email. Only some of the documents arrived. Apparently the file is to large.
The only other way is to send the originals by Fedex/mail/ups. I would hate to lose them.
Has anyone had this problem and if so, how was it resolved?

documents lost
After not hearing anything for six months I emailed the consulate. They told me that my documents never arrived at the commune. Fortunately, the consulate has copies and has re-sent them.

Still waiting, now approaching five months. What could go wrong? My papers were accepted in Boston, filled out the application.

Re: How long a wait? Boston
That's news to me. I ordered two BC's from NYC. Both had to have an exemplification and Apostille. Ordered a DC and MC from NY state, only needed an apostille. The county isn't the same as the state. And I can tell you from dealing with NJ local and state, and NY local and state, that the consulates ...
