Well , i want to be more sure that i understood the case good..
They were married in church in 1985 (after 1983)...and my father is recognized Jure Sanguinis in 2011...
1-SO....My mum has the right to apply at any time in the consulate but must wait for 2 years to has the final answer from Italy ...

I got a question about Jus matrimoni....my Dad got his citizenship now Jus Sanguinis Application ( Through his mother )...and we will apply later as the same(me and my sister)...for my mother now....does she need to wait for three years as my father is officially recognized now and as she's resident ...

1- Well Carmine,
I think new laws are in now....Despite receiving the letter of recognition , the applicant must request his passport from the Questura..

Yes I Know Carmine....But let us say that this law is established....So am i considered as 2nd or 3rd Generation ??...Plus if i'm a 3rd Generation so i'm out of the process even if my father took the citizenship or in this case i will be a 2nd generation for my Father ??..

DeFilippis78....You Mean i can't apply for citizenship through My GM ?....My Father (Her Son) Must apply first then Me through my Father...but i can't apply directly from my Grandmother ?

I think You'd better make a call to the consulate where you applied at , therefore you can find out why the answer is still late...Then , i didn't hear that anyone papers which are sent to his ancestral Comune got a refuse i think its all about a registration process and then you receive your ...

I'm in the same step like you....am waiting for the respond too....but i'm curious about something very important....Can the documents be refused in the comune in Italy ??....or it just goes there for registration ?.......because Mler said that if there're some wrong info , the papers would return ...

Thanks Carmine for Your answer...But if it seems like it go for the Diplomatic bag as u say...so it would take a long time for the recognition of the citizenship....as the bag must collect a lot of applicants documents...then every document must go to every applicant comune...then the documents must ...

3-4 months is a good period..
so because the papers were sent to Italy so the citizenship is almost guaranteed or the papers might be refused ??

I think You Must Get it because this Marriage certificate refers for your Italian Individual Parental....I think also that If you Have A Church One u can Get a State One..
