well just stumbled across this site,my grandmother was vena v from cassino,she walked to the uk scarbrough bout 80 miles south of newcastle,her husband billy hart was from sunderland about 12 miles south of newcastle,they had a ice cream buisness,vena died a long time ago, think she died about 1941 ...
