Re: NYC Second Appt

No they didn't keep any because most of my documents (although all Apostilled and with translations) still needed the validations. So the woman told me to just keep everything and bring it back next time.

Re: NYC Second Appt

I sent them an email in August...heard nothing. Then sent one in September...heard nothing. And just today sent one saying that I've been trying to get hold of them since August and I received this email in about 3 hours.

I have to drop off ALL documents. I'm going GGF-GF-F-Me. I had to get 5 ...

Sceaminmonkey-

I finally got a response from the consulate regarding a second appointment. They sent this email:

We acknowledge your request for a follow up appointment and we have being trying to find an opening for you to come in and resubmit your application.
Unfortunately, so far we do not ...

Re: NYC Second Appt

Thanks for the replies. I sent two emails before the deadline, so I'll just wait at this point since I don't have everything done right now. I'm assuming that they will respond eventually. Otherwise I don't know what else to do to contact them. Obviously I'm in no rush until I get my last document ...

NYC Second Appt

I have a few questions about the NYC consulate. I had my initial appointment on June 6th, with a 90 day deadline to get everything in order. I had an incredible amount of things to do, including having documents validated in Boston, Edinburgh, and London. Unfortunately, I have not received the ...

Re: 2nd appointment in NYC

Hi,

I have a question for the original poster...

You said it took over a month to get your second appointment. When you finally got the appointment, was it still in your 90 day window?

I had my initial appointment June 6 and today is September 2. I sent the NYC consulate an email last week to ...

Trouble Validating Documents (NYC appt)

Hi,

I had my appt last month and because many of my documents are from England and Scotland, I was told by the NYC consulate that I need to have these documents validated by those consulates. I did have Apostilles on all of my documents. Well I have called both consulates and they don't know what I ...

Re: How to Get Petition for Naturalization?

Carmine,

If is from 1954. I believe it's from the state court; it says "Superior Court of Hampden County" and I don't see anything about a District Court.

How to Get Petition for Naturalization?

Hi,

I recently had my appointment at the consulate in NYC and they said I need to get my grandfather's petition for naturalization. I have his original certificate of naturalization, which my grandmother happened to have (my grandfather passed away). It is from Springfield, Massachusetts. Where do ...

Re: NYC Appt Yesterday-Told my case is "complicated"

Thanks Carmine! I wish I had known all this before I collected all the documents for my GGPs and had them all translated and Apostilled! Honestly, I have no idea when my GF first arrived in Italy. I guess I should write to both Soverato and Nocera Inferiore (where my GGF was born) and see if either ...
