I may be able to help you. I live near New Jersey, I am Italian-American, and my ancestors also come from Civitella del Tronto, so I would love to help out if possible. Send me a message if you are still interested.

Re: Paul Certa Mariage record
Tessa,
Again thank you for your time. Do you think it is Iacone or "Jacone"? Actually other records show her as Jacono
I'm not sure how the capital letters "I" or "J" are actually written at this time. From my French background, it looks like a "J", but I may be mistaking

Re: "Sala" - place in Calabria?
I am researching in Padula, Salerno. Rosario Cuozzo, (ca 1744-1824) had lived in Padula, his death record (1824 #19 image 36) said he was born in"Sala" & his parents had lived (stayed) in Sala; they were Salvadore Cuozzo, bracciale, & Anna Garone.
Can someone please tell me where Sala is; and can ...

Re: Salerno: Sala Consilina and Atena Lucana
I, too, am doing research on Sala Consilina. Does anyone know how popular is the surname MEDICI in this area? I was told that the neighboring town/city of Polla which is about 12 miles away has many MEDICI. All indication -my grandparents were from Sala Consilina -surname MEDICI. Any thoughts or ...

Re: Aumendo, DiSanto, Accetta families from Salerno
Thank you very much. I had found this manifest before, and it has been very helpful in finding some information. The change of spelling from Aumenta to Aumendo is very curious though.

Solopaca, Benevento
I recently learned that my maternal grandfather was born in Solopaca, Benevento in 1907. Does anyone know any information on it? Have pictures, local knowledge, historical churches or anything that might be good to know?

Re: Can someone post a manifest for me ?
EllisIsland.org tries to make you pay for the image, but it's relatively easy to get it. Even someone like me, who is very bad with computers, can get the image! You can retrieve these images from your temporary internet files folder.

Re: Info on Galante family
Hi Suanj,
Thank you once again for your reply. I will look into the 1910 Census. Could you post the image on this thread? I will not be able to evaluate it until I have the image.
I would also appreciate it if you could post the other documents. Then I could see if they are related to my family ...

Re: Aumendo, DiSanto, Accetta families from Salerno
Dear Sig. Moccaldi,
Thank you for your response. The information you provided is very helpful. I did not know about the Pagine Bianche. Since the name is so rare, and because it occurs near Sala Consilina and Atena Lucana, the Aumento from Sassano may be related to me.
Thank you once again!
