Hi Lucette (is it?)
It's been a few years since I've been back here but now I'm glad I came back. It's nice to finally know just who the elusive Budie/Buddie was. My sister told me today that she thought our grandmother, Minnie, had said they were cousins and of course they were. Budie used to help ...

Re: Rosa Bevilacqua/Luigi Bevilacqua
Question For Laura:
Would you mind telling me how/what you used as a query to the familysearch.org?
I tried to replicate it in order to better conduct my research, but no matter how I input the information for Rosa and Luigi, I do not get the same information that you did...try as I might.
The ...

Re: Rosa Bevilacqua/Luigi Bevilacqua
Would you happen to know what the word "Budie" would refer to? When I asked my mother and sister if the name Bevilacqua meant anything to them, they both responded with Budie (don't know the spelling). But they said it was probably an Italian nickname such as what we called our grandmother (Minnie ...

Re: Rosa Bevilacqua/Luigi Bevilacqua
After reading your post above about Rose's second marriage to Stephen Shutte, that "sealed the deal" about this being my great grandmother. She did, indeed marry Stephen Shutte from Torriglia (according to family Bible) and had 3 boys. The first child she had while married to Luigi Mangini (Teressa ...

Re: Rosa Bevilacqua/Luigi Bevilacqua
I am wondering if these might be some relatives that I am also looking for. I have made a post yesterday re: Rosa Bevilacqua/Luigi Mangini.
In the remark section of the Ellis Island record, the area in NJ they are going to would be "Wanaque" and this is exactly where my ancestors lived. The area ...

Rosa Bevilacqua/Luigi Bevilacqua
Hello,
I am looking for information on my great grandmother, Rosa Bevilacqua. According to the 1900 US census she was born Apr 1898. From a family Bible we know she came from Torriglia, Liguria, Genova. She arrived in the US 9 Nov 1897. The record states she planned on going to NY (where she ...
