Re: Aiello, Bernardo, Cundari, Salerno families, San Fili
Hi - I came across your post and I think I have some info for you. Your great-grandfather, Francesco Aiello, is the brother of my great-grandmother, Serafina Aiello. We should join forces and help each other out.

Re: Caruso and Caporaso family from Vitulano, Campania
So do I just write the same letter that I sent the first time in the email in Italian, just with money and my address this time? Sorry - just want to clarify what I need to do since I don't speak the language... Thanks!

Re: Antonio Caruso Staten Island/Bayonne
It looks like Antonio Caruso and your gg grandfather Sal both died in the same year. Do you know what day Sal died and how he died? Possibly an accident where they died together? That could explain why it was written that Theresa was Antonio's wife. He also could be a friend who just came from Italy ...

Re: "Domenico" Americanized as "Thomas"??
I have some Domenico's in my family tree as well, but none changed to Thomas. My only thought would be Domenico was shortened to "Dom" and census workers thought they said "Tom" and wrote the full name Thomas.

Caruso and Caporaso family from Vitulano, Campania
I am looking for information on my great-grandparents, Cosimo Caruso (b. 1881) and Carmela Caporaso (b.1886). They left Vitulano for Connecticut in 1911, leaving behind his mother, Anna, and an aunt, Teresa. I have some info on Carmela - her parents were Gennaro Caporaso and Giuseppina Capozzi ...
