Marty -
Thank you, again, for your help!
This is so good to know. I am constantly amazed at the types of thing we can do today.
I shall contact them with the information I have, and, hopefully, we can work something out.

Marty -
First, thank you for your reply.
And.... I can write to them by e-mail? And they could respond by e-mail?
This is just Too "modern" -- and too marvelous. (like Wow!)
Thank you so much for sharing this information.

Thank you for your reply.
I did try it, but apparently Tarsia is not one of the areas included in this site. (But I tried all the "names" anyway, just in case.) I guess I will just have to wait until such time as the earlier records are put on line.

Tarsia, Cosenza - records before 1866?
Thanks to Suanj and others, I was able to find a great deal of information about ancestors from Tarsia. Now I am wondering if there are any records online - anyplace - for records earlier than 1866 for this area? (the first search was all from the Familysearch/Italy site - for 1866-1910) Thank you f...

Sanseverino - Good News - & thank you!
Just to let all those who helped me find - and search - and learn -- that the original family information has been proven to be correct. (Hooray!!) But it took a great deal of assistance from some very knowledgable and helpful people on this site, to accomplish this. So, a Great Big thank you -- esp...

Erudita --
Yes, I spent well over 10 years, going 40 miles each way, several times a week, to view the microfilms in the closest LDS center. But --- the Excitement of finding a Name! wow!
It's still there today....just much quicker.

Thank you for your quick response -- although, of course, it was Not what I hoped to find out. (I have been "spoiled" with the easy access of so many records, nowadays....)
Your information is Most helpful, thank you.

"Sala" - place in Calabria?
I am researching in Padula, Salerno. Rosario Cuozzo, (ca 1744-1824) had lived in Padula, his death record (1824 #19 image 36) said he was born in"Sala" & his parents had lived (stayed) in Sala; they were Salvadore Cuozzo, bracciale, & Anna Garone. Can someone please tell me where S...

Re: Lentino - NY censuses - restoration of previous info, pl
I am hoping there is a 1910 & maybe even 1900 census for Vincenzo - or James - Lentino. (Unfortunately I am not presently on Ancestry....just Familysearch.) So I hope that someone can find one or more of the census records....that I think were previously posted by someone on this site (before al...

Michele 68 --
Thank you for that information! But how did you find it? (I did not see it in the online marriage records!)
Did it say who parents of each of them were? Are they both from Padula?

Lentino - NY censuses - restoration of previous info, please
Born "Michele" Vincenzo Lentino in Italy 1875, came to U.S. about 1895, I have NY State 1905 & 1920 census, plus WWI draft registration. (I did copy some of what I was sent!) Wife Rosa/Rosie/Rosina ("Sanseverino"). But I do believe Tessa & others found a few more censuses...

Re: Sanseverino name - likely places to look in Italy?
suanj - again, thank you.
I will have to wait for Sala Consilina to come online; apparently it is one of the ones they are working on.
Meantime, I will look at some of the others, further away....just in case. (I guess the "experience" will have Some value, anyway.)
Kind regards,
