Thank you for your help, I do certainly appreciate it. It has been a very emotional and frustrating journey. I am looking after my mother, and we speak Italian everyday, it really hurts not to be accepted by my own people...

I'm afraid not. Italy considered that the parent had the right to make decisions for the minor child including naturalizations decisions. For this reason, when an applicant presents a "no record" case, the consulate will ask for parent documents. There have been several cases in which a n...
