Thank you for your help, I do certainly appreciate it. It has been a very emotional and frustrating journey. I am looking after my mother, and we speak Italian everyday, it really hurts not to be accepted by my own people... :-(

I'm afraid not. Italy considered that the parent had the right to make decisions for the minor child including naturalizations decisions. For this reason, when an applicant presents a "no record" case, the consulate will ask for parent documents. There have been several cases in which a n...
