Re: Thomas Sclafani
Hmm, I wrote a big whole message to you (PM) and now I can't see where I sent it. I was wondering why you weren't replying. Write me at inthehighlands02@yahoo.com and I will tell you about our living relatives for the Viders and Sclafani sides.

Re: Thomas Sclafani
Hi Jesse! Wonderful to meet you. In time, I'm hoping to meet family too. I live in North Carolina. Where are you? There are some Sclafani cousins in Florida and Washington. I did not have you in my tree so if you'll tell me your Dad's name, I'll add you both to Elaine.

Never mind. I just noticed that the Salvatore Marmello on that manifest died (there was a date and a code).

Re: Thomas Sclafani
Okay! Thanks to your help, I bit the bullet and went with your research of PL1. And I have found more information. The 1904 ship manifest with Pietro says he is going to visit in in-laws Esposito and Francesca Sclafani but I think they meant Liboria's parents are Libertino Esposito (b. 1828) and Gio...

Re: Thomas Sclafani
I tried finding birth records for the 6 children of Thomas' as well as the marriage record of Thomas and couldn't find anything directly on the NY website but that is because the years I was looking at, they do not have online and I'd have to send for the records. I also looked for his death record ...

Re: Thomas Sclafani
Yes, I noticed other names going to that street as well. But I didn't find any connections other than the Grazow one I mentioned. It all gets so confusing and overwhelming. On my mother's side we have Moss going all the way back to the 1500's and the link to England. But the name is so common in Eng...

Re: Thomas Sclafani
I keep having posts not post. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. But here is what I tried to write up earlier this evening. I took a look at all of the manifests for Pietro Sclafani including Di Sclafani and Galvani. Could the Pietro that immigrated in 1904 be the grandfather of Giovanna and Antonio? He...

Re: Thomas Sclafani
Would going to Sicily make things any easier for the research? It's always been 1 of 3 destinations I want to make before I died. But going anytime soon will not happen.

Re: Thomas Sclafani
Ah! I see it now. Alright, I've tried going backwards through the posts to make sense of all the information that has been flying around from both you and Saunj. We've ruled out the Marinello's from what I can tell. and there is some confusion with Pietro and Liboria but most likely Liboria Mauiracc...

I can't find the 1912 date on any of the census' that I have. I also do not see any new info on the 1940 census.
