Re: Passport records

I'm looking for 'travel records' as well - would most people have travelled by ship does anyone know? My family were from Asti province - as I right this would mean they went form Genoa?

Re: Mombercelli burials

Thank you Paola - 10 years doesn't seem very long - almost afraid to ask what happens to the remains after then?

Other answer looks interesting - thank you Ann

Mombercelli burials

Does anyone know if there is a database or link to burials - I would like to find the resting place of some family in Mombercelli but have not had a response to my emails to the Diocese for this town.

Re: Death certificates

Thank you for this - the deaths were 1908 and 1914 for son and father respectively, both in Mombercelli - just adds to sadness of it all. I will keep searching

Death certificates

Is there any way for finding out cause of death? The certificates just seem to state date and place of death whereas British certificates always give cause.
My great grandfather died when he was only in his mid thirties and his son was only aged 6 but we are unable to find out what happened.

Re: Guiseppe Aresca and Luigia Galliano

Tessa - would it be possible to have a link for the years from 1914 up to 1945 - is that feasible?

Re: Mombercelli - family information

HI Tessa - that was me earlier! :) We have some basic details from other people here - Agostino, Savio and Amalia were born to Guiseppe Aresca and Luigia Galliano. Agostino was born in 1878 and was in Southampton, England in 1901 when he married Ada Burbage. They had a son and daughter (Luigia, my g...

Mombercelli - family information

Hi - I have tried to contact a couple of people in Mombercelli in my quest to find out more information on my Italian great grandfather (Agostino Agresca) and further back - but they have not responded (a great shame!)- I found them through Facebook on a Mombercelli group. Is there perhaps another w...

Mombercelli

Does anyone have any information on this town - my great grandfather (Agostino Acresca) came from there, and also went back there to live in the early 1900s.

I would love to know if there any any pictures of him or his family perhaps?
