Tickets to the Last Supper in Milan

Hello, my boss is visiting Milan on June 21 and would like tickets to see the Last Supper-- Which is proving to be quite difficult! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to obtain? I have been refreshing the tour websites, the official websites, and have even called the box office.

Second, can ...

Re: Please please help!- Jure Sanguinis

Just something to think about... Are there other ancestors, perhaps on your mothers side that are Italian?

Re: Finding Reaquisition of Italian Citizenship Documents

Your grandfather never renounced his Italian citizenship, did he? Therefore he passed it on to your father and thus, you.

Since your grandfather was born in Italy he was born an Italian citizen, therefore what his father later did shouldn't have affected him.

I am not 100% certain on this though ...

Re: First Papers and Naturalization

Not 100% sure this is your Rocco... Because I found another Rocco around the same time period as your with same last name in the same area. BUT... The time on this lines up with the naturalization record you have.

You can order a copy of this record.

Last Name: Acesta
Given Name: Rocco
Birth/Age ...

Re: Need Your Help Finding My Grandfather on a Passenger List

Steve, not sure if you have Camillo's naturalization... You mentioned having his brother, but not his. It is attached. Is this your Camillo?

I also attached someone with the same address as this Camillo. If this is your Camillo.

Re: First Papers and Naturalization

Thanks James. Rocco got his naturalization certificate in 1945. I have a copy of that.

But in column 23 of the 1930 census his status is PA, which indicates that at the time the census was taken, he had already applied for citizenship. That census also shows that Rocco immigrated in 1923.

I ...

Re: immigration to U. S. Thoughts

Hi. I am researching my maternal ancestors, starting, of course with my maternal grandfather and his family. As a child, I was told that Diego Gagliano traveled back and forth to America many times. The folklore was it was in pursuit of his wife to be. Now that I am older, I think it was more ...

Re: First Papers and Naturalization

The 1930 Census indicates that Rocco immigrated to the United States in 1930 and that he could neither read or write. The 1940 Census shows that he had only a 2nd grade education!

I think you're correct Erudita. Rocco's inability to read or write English was more than likely an impediment to his ...

He was born in 1819 so the death cert is used to show he was alive during the countries unification in 1861.

Hello manu, my case is a 1948 case because I am connecting to my Italian ancestor by his daughter my great great great grandmother.
