Hi everyone,
I was curious as to what reasons my 3rd great grandparents (Salvatore Mazzuca and Vittoria Saraco) might have named three of their children Rocco. The first was Rocco Mazzuca, their sixth child, born in Badolato on Christmas 1853. He later died a little over five months later in the ...

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to locate more information about my great-grandmother Angelina Matera. What I do have is one 1940 census document that lists her children and her marriage to my great-grandfather Serafino (Sam) Olivieri (all of them living in Brooklyn), a 1940 death record for him (lists his ...

Re: Need help finding death record for Rosa Groe
I checked the death indices for both Badolato and Dipignano from 1842 through 1850, and only found one possibility. The death of Rosalia Groe on 28 December 1843 i Dipignano.
Parents are listed as deceased Nicola and deceased Arcangela.
This Rosalia is age 70, a spinner born in Dipignano.
BUT ...

Re: Need help finding death record for Rosa Groe
Do you have her parents names?
Unfortunately I do not. All I know is that one child of hers born after 1809 was Maria Saveria Mazzuca in 1810 and the other was Salvatore Mazzuca in 1814, both born in Dipignano. If I had to guess there are probably more children born before civil registration ...

Re: Trying to find Carlo Antonio Mazzuca death record
Looking again at the marriage of Salvatore Mazzuca, I see that the marriage took place in Badolato, the hometown of the bride. The Processetti would be kept in that comune, not in Dipignano.
This would be the Bardolato film (only viewed at FHC) that holds the Processetti for 1843.
Processetti ...

Bruno Miletta in this Church census? record
Hi all,
I've come across this church record for Parenti, Cosenza, from 1753. One of my ancestors (Bruno Miletta, and his wife Flaminia Cardamone) is listed in it and I was wondering what his relationship to the head of the household is, and who his parents might be. I have attached an image of the ...
