Are you looking for an Italian surname? Do you need more information about your family heritage?
This is the right place to start your genealogy search.
Peter, thank you very much for all your help. Unfortunately amazon does not have a listing and neither does Mondadori. I will continue to search, it seems like a great resource. By the way, just a thought I think Di Pasquale probably would be listed as Pasquale and derived from that name.
Peter,
Thank you for the site. I went to there and the only book available was "Dizionario ragionato dei cognomi italiani" by Francipane Michele. The only De Felice book was his book of "nomi". Are you familiar with the book by Michele? It claims 350,000 names are listed and explained.
I checked that site and it does have the De Felice book and it costs about 11 Euros and change ($about 20.00US). I do not know of the other book that you mentioned since De Felice and one other author are the most prominent authorities on Italian surnames in Italy. =Peter=
When you get to the unilibro home page type in the title Dizionario dei Cognomi Italialiani da Emidio de Felice and click for the next page and under Collana on the right side click Dizionario and then next page will show up with the book.=Peter=
Peter again, thank you.
Unfortunately I saw that listing but it is not available for sale (non in commercio). My library does not have a copy nor does the main library in Philadelphia. I am trying to find a used copy somewhere.
Sc roll down from that place where the price is 11Euro and change and to the right column under Altri Libri di emidio de felice the title will reappear and the price has gone up to 13 euro and change. =Peter=
sorry about that but that book is for cognomi. I did find another publisherr though so go to www.maremagnum.com and under search put in title and De felice. =Peter=
