I intend to start researching my Italian ancestry but first would like to be familiar with the geographical area where my Grandfather was born, Palagiano. Could you please refer me to a WEB site/s or book/s (english please) that will provide a current and historic perspective of the area of Paligiano?

Sorry but Paligiano does not appear to exist in the spelling you provided. There are no close comparisons and there are variations which I canot determine/ Suggest you kget back to me with the province or the region so That we can narrow it down. Once we do that then yoiu can take off!! Peter

Peter, The correct spelling is Palagiano. (The city is northwest of Taranto.) Thank you for your help.
