The Cherry Coal Mine disaster was one of the most tragic coal mine accidents in U.S. history. Many immigrant miners lost their lives, including Italians. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the event, the Abraham Lincoln museum will have an exhibit. Anybody in or around central Illinois may find this an interesting exhibit to see.
