We are both American citizens. We registered her birth at the Commune in Milano and have her Italian birth certificate. She also has an American birth certificate and passport.
Does Italy have a dual citizenship for children born in Italy to foreigners?

A child born to foreigners in Italy does not automatically become an Italian citizen. One of the child's parents must have been an Italian citizen at the time of the child's birth. The exact opposite of The United States.
