Italy in the World Cup 2010

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

Hi,

Now that we know the draw for the World Cup Finals in South Africa, I thought that it might be an ideal time for a few more people to start brushing up on their Italian and learning a few new Calcio phrases to get more into the spirit of things.
