I just came across my husbands grandmothers death certificate - her name was Violet Martha Scala Zucco. She had 4 children: Joseph, Mary,Violet and Anthony. Joseph was born in Niles, OH and Joseph's bith certificate lists his mother as Yolanda Martha Scala - born in Ohio.
I think she may have changed her name from Yolanda to Violet somewhere along the way -
Violet's parents were Phillip Scala and Mary Spano - and she lists themas both being born in Italy.
