Travel in Italy

Post by Repetto »

I have decided to go to Camogli in October. I have 2 choices of Airport. Pisa or Genoa. Genoa is the obvious choice as it is closer but it is also £80 more expensive. Is there an easy way to get from Pisa to Camogli? Train seems to take 2hrs with one change. Can i buy a weekly train ticket to travel about or is it best just to get a return train ticket from either Genoa or Pisa.
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian, I always Fly to Genoa, from the UK, a 15 min bus ride to station and then get a train to Camogli, you dont need to change and it takes about 40 mins, Also i fly with BA...at £96 for a return flight in October, no extra for luggage, booking charges ect as with the "budget" airlines...

Enjoy Camogli Vee

Hi Peter, i suppose if i where to book flights with an Italian company that might be the case, but i don't think British company's do Internal flights in Italy, i could be wrong though. I honestly have not got a clue... . I some times book my train tickets before i go but its much cheaper to buy them while you are there.
So when was you last in Italy Peter ?

A few years ago but you most airlines reciprocate so perhaps british Air will give you Alitalia tickets for travel within Italy for same initial fare ..inquire within as it were. Do you call every couple of days tgo see if your fare has been lowered?? =Peter=

Hi Peter,
No i dont ever call , i always book direct on their site, at £49 one way, i feel its a bargain, you do have to hunt around on the site for the cheaper flights though. Vee
