There will be thousands of new place pages for countries, states, territories, provinces and counties. For those of you who use old search, you may recognize that we have updated and improved the place pages you have seen in old search.
You can view the data collections Ancestry has for each location. For many locations you can find links to extra resources and a history of the important events that occurred in that place. Look for the “historyâ€

I personally do not bother with Ancestry.com and prefer the english websites and Footnote for their freebies which an adroit persons can make do. =Peter=

The one thing I really, really, want from ancestry is the ability to re-order the search results. Let me click on column headings to sort by first name, by date, by ship's name, whatever, and I will be very happy.

Ancestry.com has tons of records that can't be found anywhere else on the internet, especially not for free. I don't think it should be someone's only resource tool, but it certainly is a very helpful one.
