2 eyes not of the same color: regional trait ?

Hi

A person having one blue eye and one brown eye
Heterochromy iridis is the scientific name


Does anyone knows about this condition and the possible regional distribution of this trait in Italy. It would be hereditary and in Europe, it affects mostly scandinavians or pepole of germanic ascent (fair skinned).
