Biff, can you see the entire document? When I click on the link it only shows a piece of the top.

I'm having trouble with the women. I'm visiting Mary Guarino DiSalvo's decendents next month and am sure they'll provide me with some info but I can't seem to locate obits etc for the other two either.

Can you give me advice on how to search for the women?

Rose Guarino Humphries B: May 1894 Louisiana D: Aug 7, 1970 San Mateo, CA Married to Herbert Humphries.

Married Louis Rico and lived in California. (Believe San Francisco area)

Now another question...

What do you think happened to Angelo Guarino from Italy? I found them in the 1930 census. I saw something new this time... Tina Chimento is 25 in 1930 and one of their neighbors. There is her connection to Dominick. She must have married and divorced him between 1930 and 1934.

We know where Angelo Guarino is in 1930. We know that when Mary dies in 1933 that she is a widow. BUT I can't find any death info on Angelo or where he is buried. Any suggestions?

I went to an LDS Family Research Center today and spent two hours learning all the ways to find more information on my family. I learned a lot.

They will send off the the microfilm Titled: Registri dello stato civile di Alia 1821-1910

Other than that, I found new info today on my dad's sister that died in California after birth.

She suggested I look into this. On Angelo's Certificate of Naturalization it lists the children: Mary Grazia 19 years, Santo (my grandfather) 16 years, Rosa 13 years, Salvador 10 years and Josephine 6 years; all residing at Harvey, Louisiana.

I do believe we have discovered Angelo Guarino's parents info and I would assume Rosalino was his brother. All of my records for Angelo also have him born in 1856.

I ruled this out earlier thinking it was another family in New Orleans but this may actually by my Angelo?

Pattig, you can search by yourself in the civil registrations for the town of Alia at your nearest Family History center:

beginning with the research of Damiano Guarino (Dominick) birth act on around 1886 .... Having the correct names and maiden name of his parents you can search for their marriage act...

This microfilm is for the births in Alia from 1883 to 1909.

I am so CONFUSED!!! Italian naming patterns make this very difficult. There are so many with the same name.

If this is my great grandfather Angelo Guarino... Then his parents are Damiano Guarino and Maria Grazia Aiello.

After searching, they had several children with the same name. Why would they name their children the same names?

To prove this is my great grandfather, I'm looking for his marriage record to Maria Chimento around 1883. They gave birth to my great uncle Damiano Guarino around 1885-1886.

I have so much information but I'm very confused on how to proceed to find out if this is my Great Grandfather and find his parents names???

Months ago, someone named Calidon posted information on my family and stated that he could go back four generations. I never heard a word from him again. I'm reposting the info in hopes that someone out there can assist me.

I do not know where he found the records below.
Rosolino Angelo Guarino and Maria Chimento were my great grandparents.

Per Indice Decennale di Matrimonio 1886-1895, (ten year index), for Alia:
Rosolino Angelo Guarino m. Maria Chimento - 1886 record, #4 (which means they married at the beginning of the year. Their son Damiano was born at the end of the year.

Looked closer at the Indice Decennale di Nato 1886-1895:
Damiano Guarino , Rosolino Angelo Guarino and Maria Chimento 1886 Record # 246
Damiano Guarino , Rosolino Guarino and Maria Chimento 1887 Record # 280

Indice di Morte for 1886:
Damiano Guarino , Rosolino Angelo Guarino and Maria Chimento - 1886 record #189, one of the last of the year.

I maintian that these two people married at the beginning of 1886, had their first born at the end of 1886 who died at birth or as an infant . Got pregnant again and had Damiano ( the second) in 1887.

I believe Rosolino Angelo Guarino is your ggf.
