Bellin Family from Bolzano area

Post by enshanley »

I'm new to Italian genealogy and I am looking for any information on Antonio Bellin, born Aug. 27, 1876 in Bolzano, Veneto, Italy. Family history states that his mother's name was Margarita, but nothing is known about his father. He arrived in the US for the first time in 1903 from Naples and after briefly spending time in Pennsylvania, settled in Illinois. His first wife's name was Margretta Mavtenli and they married Oct. 19, 1898. She later followed him to the US with their children John B and Mary (both born in Italy).

Any help about where to look for information about this family would be really great!

Thank you!

Erin
