DiCaprio Family (Alife to Argentina to Alife to Schenectady)

Salvatore DiCaprio was originally from Alife (Caserta) and lived in Argentina and Brazil for many years. In Argentina, Salvatore married and had two or three children. He worked as a horticulturist and was horticultural manager for an estate in Brazil or perhaps Argentina. About 1918-1920 Salvatore returned to Alife with his daughter Angelina and son
Eduardo/Edoardo. In 1920 Angelina married my grandfather, Michele Dellarco (Dell'Arco) in Alife. My grandfather Michele immigrated to Amsterdam, New York in 1921.

In 1925 Angelina and Edoardo immigrated to New York. Edoardo lived on Mulberry Street in New York City until 1930 when he returned to Alife. Angelina lived in Amsterdam, New York and then Schenectady, New York. She remarried John (Giovanni) Tabbano in Schenectady about 1927-1928 and died in April 1930. Angelina was born in Argentina/Brazil about 1898-1900. Both Angelina and Edoardo were allowed into the U.S. in 1925 because they had been born in Argentina/Brazil.
