Hi all,

Looking for an Ettore Pirozzi who arrived in Boston sometime in the late 1870s

possibly aboard the "burgundia"

can anybody with ancestry look this up for me?

Hi Mauro,
I do not see any Ettore Pirozzi arriving in the 1870s. There are several with that name as well, a birthplace would help focus the search.

There is an Ettore Pirozzi who arrived in the US 1903 and was born about 1866 in Molfetto. He is listed as being American. There is a passport application available for this same man as well. He came over it seems at least 3 times, twice on the "Romanic" and once on the "Commonwealth". If this is not him and he is indeed a much earlier arrival, then the New England Regional Archives may have the manifest of a "Burgundia" and earlier manifests where your Ettore can be found.

thanks for finding this for me...

I have a naturalization record for an Ettore Pirozzi that states he lived in the U.S. uninterrupted for 11 years from 1879 to 1900 (obviously those dates are erroneously listed since it tallies up to more than 11 years)

i wonder if your 1884 Ettore is the same one..
