Requesting help resubmitting birth cert. request

I made a horrible goof when requesting my great-grandfather's birth certificate from Sicily via email--I put down the wrong birth year (1892, instead of 1882). The commune sent me the birth certificate of his brother, which roughly approximated the date I submitted.

I would like to ask for help in composing an email that: 1)Acknowledges the amazingly quick manner in which they fulfilled my original request; 2) Explains that I erred with the date and would like to submit my request again with the correct date; 3) Apologizes profusely for my error and offers to submit payment for their postage and time.

I'm pasting below the original email I sent, with my identifying info omitted. Thank you in advance for any help that can be offered.

Il mio nome e’ XXXXXXXX. Sono un cittadino americano discendente da Italiani e sto cercando di ottenere anche la cittadinanza italiana. Mi dispiace per la mia povera lingua italiana.

Per questo richiedo, cortesemente, il Vostro aiuto, poiche’ mi necessita l'estratto dell'atto di nascita, in formato internazionale, del mio bisnonno LEONARDO RUSSO TIESI. Egli nacque 15 (ca.) maggio 1892 in Chiusa Sclafani da FRANCESCO RUSSO TIESI e da GIUSEPPA PANCAMO.

Poiche’ io necessito di questo documento per formalizzare la mia richiesta di cittadinanza italiana, e’ molto importante che il suddetto certificato riporti i nomi di entrambi i genitori.
