Re: Reading baptisimal records and searching for an ancester

It is not unusual to be baptized with three or even more first names. My first thought would be that if a person is baptized as Paolo Emmanuele Salvatore (in this order) would be known as Paolo not as Salvatore..., but you'll never know!
Sorry that I cannot help you.

If I could impose on you one more time. I believe I have found the baptisimal/birth record for my husband's trisnonno Paolo. Although the Index for the year he was born ( 1751 - 22 Jul) indicates the name Paolo Andrea _______________, I believe that this his gr-gr-gr- grandfather. Following below is the link to the index. Following the link to the index is the link to the record. Thank you for the many times I have asked for and received your help.

Both your links go to the index.

I believe that the correct link for page 455 is
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... c=11906479
The last record says
Paolo Andrea Pietro son of Paolo and Caterina Petralia born and baptized 25 Jan 1752
