Abtran Email

Post by reboot365 »

I'm applying at the NYC consulate, and today I got the following email from Abtran, the service I set up the appointment through:

******************************************************************
Dear Applicant,

I’m emailing on behalf of the Italian Consulate Citizenship office in New York.

We would like you to assist us in facilitating further improvements to the efficiency of our appointments; your assistance is beneficial and greatly appreciated.

Please click either yes or no as your response to the below question, the option to do this is located at the very top left hand corner of this email and then kindly send your response please.

Question: Your Parent was an Italian National when you were born and you are applying directly through your parent for citizenship?
******************************************************************

A couple of things...
1. I recently scheduled a second appointment in NYC. My first one is this upcoming June, but I also scheduled on for next February because I fear I might not be prepared for June. I'm not sure what appointment this email is referring to.

2. In gmail, I don't actually see a spot to click yes or no, so I don't know how to respond.

3. I'm applying GGF-GM-F-Me. My GM and F are eligible, but have not applied for citizenship. So I guess my answer would be "No", considering that my father isn't yet Italian?

4. Has anyone else gotten this email?
