2nd great grandfather was Barbato Sansone, married to Antonia Beneventi
my great grandmother Lucia Sansone was 10 when they came over to the United States.

Hi Kimber. I also am researching Sansones from Guardia Sanframondi who settled in Bridgeport. My 2nd great-grandfather was Pasquale Sansone, born in 1861. I believe his parents were Gaetano Sansone and Luisa Garofano. He was married to Delia (Diomira?) Pinto, and they had five children that I know of: Leonilda, Adolfo, Alfredo, Vittorio, and Amedeo.
Leonilda and Adolfo came over in 1907 to stay with an uncle, Giovanni Sansone in Bridgeport. Alfredo joined in 1911. The rest of the family came over in 1920. Pasquale and his sons were all shoemakers, as was Barbato.

It was stated above that the records in Guardia Sanframondi are limited. Does that mean it would not be worth my while to write to the Ufficio dello Stato Civile? I have a letter drafted in an attempt to obtain Pasquale's birth record. Would another approach be recommended?
