I'm looking for the first name of my great-great-great grandfather Rumiz from Tarcento. He served on the Tarcento council and was a civic leader. He and his wife died from cholera and are buried in Tarcento. He settled land in Tarcento and called it Calle di Rumiz.
This man's son was Domenic Rumiz who fought in the Italian army when it was first formed around the time Italy became independent of Austria. Domenic died in 1906. Domenic's son was my great grandfather Alfonso. Alfonso's daughter was my grandmother Dorethea. Dorethea's daughter was my mother Ramona. I named my son's middle name Domenic.

Re: Looking for Rumiz family from Tarcento
Have you checked the Lds site for microfilmed civil records for the town of origin in Italy?
Have you completed all research here in the U.S.?
While you gave good detail with regard to names, if you could tell us what you have already done it will save us the trouble of duplicating research.
Please provide more detail..........including dates if known.
