any thoughts on the day, and possible location of marriage in the side bar.
i am unsure of the day ?? Dec 1896 and not sure what the word is after 'con' and before 'Eduardo di Giovanni', groom's name.

i appreciate your efforts,
donna

I believe that the word before Eduardo is his surname, and "di Giuseppe" stands for son of Giuseppe.
As for the day I guess it is 20.

livio,
thanks for your thoughts on this. i wrestled with this also, as di giuseppe is a surname in altavilla, so it could go either way - surname or son of. there is no marriage record in altavilla in 1896 and the years before and after between these two, which is why i was hoping that the scribbly handwriting could be deciphered. one more mystery.....

thanks again,
donna
