Here are vital records on microfilm from the LDS church for Polla. YOu can research the births, deaths and marriages.

Hi. I am also researching Di Paola from Polla. Have you made any progress? My Great grandfather was born there in 1859.

HI Tiffany,
What is your grandfather's first name? I am struggling finding information on them. I do know he had a brother who passed away in the early to mid1900s. I still have some cousins that are in their 90s. I haven't quizzed them too much about the family history. Tell me a little bit about your great grandfather. My great grandfather was born in Polla about the same time as yours. It's possible they could have been brothers or even cousins. Please let me know what you have. I know they settled for several years in NY because their oldest daughter was born there. Then they thought they were on a train to Charleston, WVA and ended up in Charleston, SC. There they stayed...so the family history goes.
You can email me directly at TerriLand@aol.com.
Thanks for contacting me. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Unfortunately, I don’t have too much info on anything farther back than my Great Grandfather. His name was Luigi and his parents were Filippo Di Paola and MariaGaetana Romano. He settled in California so my family is all from California in the early 1900's. Would be nice if we can figure out what the family structure is from Polla. Do you know the parents of your great grandfather?
