Re: Church records from Trento area
Dear, Ricbru
My name is Anthony Maestranzi. I am trying to locate some very old documents of my great Grandfather and Grandmother who were both from Giustino, Trento Italy. I need to find their birth certificates and marriage certificate. They were not only born in Giustino but also married there. More importantly i need to find out information about my Great Grandfather and when he went to the U.S. I know he went in 1922, but not exactly what date and maybe what ship he went on or who he went with? I need this information because I am trying to get an Italian passport to see if i can come live and work in Italy. In order for me to do this I need these documents and also to know if he was naturalized or if he ever gave up his Italian Citizenship. My great grandfathers name is Giustino Maestranzi. He was born Jan 7, 1901 and married Jan 14, 1928. My great Grandmothers name is Domenica Maestranzi. She was born on May 15, 1901. Any kind of information you could give me would be great.
Sincerly,
Anthony Maestranzi

Anthony,
Did you try looking on www.ellisislandrecords.org ? I found several Maestranzi immigrants from Guistino. Are you sure of the birth year and immigration year?

Re: Church records from Trento area
Can anyone help me? I am looking for some family history of my great grandparents who were born in Giustino. Trento Italy. they were both born in 1901. Names: my great grandfather is Giovanni Maestranzi. My great grandmother was born Domenica Maganzini, and later married my great grandfather and became Domenica Maganzini Maestranzi. I am looking for their bith certificates (especially my great grandfathers), and mainly to see if they were considered Austrian or Italian, b/c they were born in the time period when this area was under Austria, and didn't go back to Italian until the end of WWI ( i believe like 1911 or so. If anyone could help me that would be great.

Maestranzi,
Do you have the 1930 census information on them? Where did they live?

Re: Church records from Trento area
Hi... did you find the information you need? If not the following may be helpful...
I believe you have the information a bit confused, here... Giustino Maestranzi was NOT born on the date given. That is the date of birth of his son Giovanni Maria Primo Maestranzi, (sopranome Tivio....) whose wife was baptized Domenica Emilia Maganzini, sopranome Gnoco. They were married on the date you provided.
Giustino Maestranzi was born on January 01, 1868 in Giustino. His wife was Amelia Ida Costanza Frizzi (sopranome Paciafer), born September 9, 1880.
Let me know if I can be of additional help...

Re: Church records from Trento area
Hello
I am looking for records in the towns around Lago di Ledro for a Veronesi family, namely a Luigi Veronesi (born c.1830) He was adopted in Riva del Garda by a Illuminato Guardini, but I don't know when. Is that also something you might be able to find?
Many thanks
Louis

Trevisan,
I see that Parlo is a frazione of Segonzano. It's likely that the Parlo records are contained in the Segonzano microfilms dating to 1634.
