Re: Famiglietti, Mariangiola Birth
Birth No 147: Mariangiola Famiglietti
Date of Record: 16 December 1885, 2 pm, Frigento
Mariano Famiglietti, 26, farmer, living in Frigento declared that at 7.10 pm on 14 of the current month at Contrada Cesine #32, his wife Maria Rosa Cipriano, farmer gave birth to a female baby who was presented and given the name Mariangiola.
Witnesses: Francesco Saverio Famiglietti, 50, Falegname (joiner, carpenter) and Carmine Pelosi, 37, Falegname, both residents of Frigento.
What I am understanding from the wording in the margin is that it is referring to the closing of the present Register ie Part 1 of the Birth Act for 1885. It ends at Index 147 and then subsequent births continue to be recorded in the supplementary section which follows. I think this is correct. The supplementary section is still called Part 1 though. I haven't seen this before, the supplementary section is usually called Part II but I am guessing that it is because the records for this year are just continuing on (possibly too many births that year to fit into the Register?).
