Re: Post Card
Dear cousin,
I was very pleased to receive your letter. I'm happy to know that you are in a good health, with your family, and the same I can tell you about us. Here things are still bad: 1 kg of pasta costs L. 125, 1 kg. of bread L. 100. We hope it is going better soon. Dear Sebastiana, by now I'm 76, so I don't have much to do. In May I'm going to have 20 (applications of) rays to cure the part of body where my disease is, and that costs L. 20000. I'll bear patience! I, my son and my daughter kiss all of you dearly, and hope you have a Happy Easter. Your dear cousin Giacomo Messineo. Greetings to your brothers and sisters. Mar 26th, 1950 Ecce Homo Day.
