Deeds for land in Serra San Bruno

I am trying to verify a story that my great grand aunt sold property in Serra San Bruno right around 1895-1901. Her name was Maria Giuseppina Amato, born 1868. Parents were Francescantonio Amato and Marianna Tozzo. Husband's name was Domenico DeFrancesco. I find it odd that a young married woman would have land in her own name back then. Any advice would be appreciated.
