Hi there

This link is not for Giovanni:-), I see Antonia Zuccolotto so I have made a start on translating this one for you:

Marriage Publication No 1: Domenico Tremea and Antonia Zuccolotto
Lentiai, Province of Belluno: 5 January 1878, 1.19 pm
Prospective Groom: Domenico Tremea, 27 yo, villico, residing Colderu', son of the late Francesco, 61yo, villico who was residing in Colderu', son of Lucia Scarton, villica, residing in Colderu', frazione of this town

Prospective Bride: Antonia Zuccolotto, 20 yo, villica, residing Colderu', daughter of Vincenzo, 45 yo, villico, residing Colderu', daughter of Margherita Barp, villica, residing in Colderu', frazione of this town,

(Then it basically says - not verbatim): Who have asked me (the official) to do the publications of the marriage, in this office, that they intend to celebrate, (i.e. the prospective groom and bride), Domenico Tremea and Antonia Zuccolotto, and have declared the groom to be born in this town, and the bride in this town. They have both lived from one year to today in Lentiai. They do not have an adoptive father nor an adoptive mother, nor are there any other impediments of relationship or affinity preventing their marriage, nor any other legal impediment.

Witnesses to the declarations made by the Bride and Groom to the Official were:
Francesco Marcer, son of deceased Francesco, 41 yo, Scrittore (Writer) and Guglielmo Cristini, son of Marco, 25 yo, Civile (landowner), both residing in this town.

Then it basically says that he (the official) has examind the documents presented to him, given his approval and entered them into the volume of annexed records to the register, declaring that the banns would be made in this town of Lentiai.

The left hand margin has the dates that the banns were posted: 6 January 1878, 13 January 1878, and 16 January 1878.

Angela

P.S. If you have any more records to be translated, it might be best to start a new post and give it a name, otherwise it might be overlooked. I notice this one has been sitting for a while. Just a suggestion:-)

Thank you again Angela! Sorry for the confusion on my behalf. I having been searching through records in ancestry.com in Italy and came upon this record, my mistake I thought it was for Antonio and see now that it was Antonia (a girl). Since I can not read Italian, I am looking at names in the record that may be of my ancestry, this is so hard and time consuming going through so many records! Thank you for the suggestion on creating new posts for each record. You are very sweet and helpful, I love this website and forum so much information to learn. Have a great day :)

As always, very happy to help. I'm so pleased that you have access to your records online at Ancestry. I don't subscribe to Ancestry myself so can't help you search there. You are doing a great job finding the records anyway, but if you do need some help, and you know the names, approximate dates etc, do ask. Some of the volunteers here do subscribe to Ancestry. Another thought: When you would like translations post both the link to the image of the record at Ancestry (for those of us who have access to the records there - it will be much clearer) and also post the image, as you have been doing, for those here who don't subscribe to Ancestry.

Ciao Ciao (for now)
