Rosa Forcone death 1815

Post by Jamiepalma2 »

Hi, could someone tell me if the first link has the name Rosa Forcone in it? (Left side/#18)

http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... 3.jpg.html

If it does could someone please translate this document for me? She was the wife of Antonio Di Girolamo. She probably was born before 1728.

Thank you

Rosa Forcone died on Feb 21st, 1815 in her house at Contrada Sant'Isidoro (?).
She was 70, the widow of Antonio di Fausto, and Gennaro Porcellini , the daughter of deceased Domenico Antonio Forcone, and living (!) Chiara Cerasa,.
There's no mention of Antonio di Girolamo as her husband, but one of the declarants, Pasquale di Girolamo, is said to be her son-in-law.

This is strange. I have Gennaro Porcellini married to a Rosa in my family tree. Their daughter Anna married Pasquale Di Girolamo. I was looking for Pasquale's grandmother Rosa Forcone. Which I got her name from Nicola (Rosa's sons) death record. So is this the same Rosa?

Nicolas death record:
On Dec 14 1829, Egidio Di Girolamo, 58yo son of the deceased and Nicola Fidanza, 47yo son-in-law of the deceased, reported that on Dec 13 died Nicola Di Girolamo aged 79, widower of Anna Eleuteria D'Amico, son of Antonio Di Girolamo and Rosa Forcone both deceased.
The mother's name is better written in the index (http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.i ... ewsIndex=0)

Well, I think it must be a case of coincidence of two women with the same name.
Dates are not always accurate, but as Nicola died in 1829 at 79, his mother would have been born about 1725. So, she couldn't be the same who died in 1815 at age 70.
