Finding My Italian birth certificate

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Finding My Italian birth certificate

Post by or100cohen »

My name is Mafalda Alegra Sectbon,
I was born in Tunis in Tunisia, and my father (victor) was born in Monastir in tunisia, (my mother was born in algeria unrelevant)
Me and my father had Italian passports, and when we emerged to Israel , the passports were taken away from us.

i was born in 25/11/1929 in tunisia
my father was born in 1902 and died in 1970 in Israel

i spoke with the italian embassy in Israel and they told me to contact the city Livorno in Italy but i don't know who to contact there.

I own my tunisian birth certificate , and i have my nephew passport but it didn't help me in my research .

I have sent an Email to " statocivile@comune.livorno.it‏ " and they replay but i didn't understand , they replayed:

thank you for your help :)
