Sprofero/Carnesi in Messojuso Sicily

My grandmother was born in Messojuso 1890 Filippa Sprofero or Sprufera... Her parents were Guiseppa Carnesi and Paolino Sprofero. His parents were Nicolo Sprofero and Maria Bonono. Her parents were Filippa Schiro and ?Carnesi. Apparently there is a very large family of both these names in Messojuso. I am going there in May 2017 and would love to have more info to investigate. They date back to 1500's I'm told.Also I think they might have been Albanian refugees or Greek. I thought they were Italian.
