Marriage of Francesco Sciortino & Margarita Mirabella 1797

Post by sacesta »

Could someone please give me a read for this record? I'm having a difficult time with the handwriting.

I believe this to be the marriage record of my ancestors Francesco Sciortino & Margarita Mirabella dated 19 Feb 1797.

It looks like the groom's mother's maiden name is Aguanno but I can't make out her given name (Margarita?) nor the name of the groom's father.

The bride's father appears to be Vito Mirabella but I cannot make out the bride's mother's name (maybe Vincenza Paula something?)

Were the parents living or deceased?

And are the Banns 2, 5 and 9 February?

Any help you can offer would be appreciated. This is another record that has eluded me for some time.
