Hi - confused a bit on whether I'm eligible for Italian citizenship.
My great-grandfather was born in Stenico (Trento) in 1888, when it was Austrian. Trento became part of Italy in 1919. My GGF did not become a US citizen until 1930, and his naturalization paper work for the US says that he was of Italian descent. My grandfather was born in the US (1920) before my GGF became a US citizen - so I know that part is ok. What about the Austrian / Italian thing? It appears that my GGF was an Italian citizen from when Trento went over to Italy (1919) until 1930 at the very least. Does that mean I qualify for Italian citizenship?
