Hey everyone! I am just beginning this process and gathering up documents, but I want to double check my understanding and figure out which documents I would need to hunt down before finding a lawyer.
Line of descent:
GGF---->GM---->Father---->Me
GGF(Born in Italy, arrived in NYC in 1905, and Naturalized in USA in 1927)----->GM (born in USA in 1913)---->Father (born in USA in 1946)---->Me and my siblings (born abroad in the 80s)
What documents would I need to prove this case in court in Italy?
Any help/comment is appreciated!

I am just getting started, too, and I received a list of documents from my attorney. Birth, marriage, death, and naturalization papers for GGF. Birth, marriage, death for GM. Birth, marriage, death (if he is deceased) for F. Birth and marriage for you and your siblings. I was also told I'd need a passport for me and any others applying.

Mazzeschi law firm. The person's name is Sara Bucalossi. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I will let you know how it goes. So far, I've been very pleased with her responsiveness. She seems to know what she's doing, and her English is very good. Sadly, I do not speak Italian. Many people here seem to be using Luigi Paiano ( I may be spelling this incorrectly). I contacted him, but I had a bit of a difficult time understanding his replies.

I've asked a bunch of lawyers and have heard back from a handful of them but they vary greatly. May I ask what her fees are?

I've never tried to send a private message before, but will it be ok if I private message you?
