Postcard Joe Dallago Death

Post by ArianaN33 »

Hello,

This is my first time posting, hopefully someone is able to assist. I need help with translating this handwritten postcard. This has been in my family for years and we have never been able to translate all the details because the style of writing is difficult to read and translate.

We know that the postcard is from Joe Dallago from Cles, Italy. He sent it to a friend to ask for help to look for his cousin's (also named Joe Dallago) son because he had passed away. The son he was looking for was my grandfather. My grandfather received the postcard in the 1980's, but I believe that the postcard was written in 1962.

The bottom image is the front, there is something written regarding Rina Dallago, that needs translation as well. Middle image is the body of the postcard. The message continues at the top of the postcard when there was no more room at the bottom to finish. Image on top is the postcard upside down as there is more writing upside down. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I try to translate...it's not written in correct Italian.
The front writing states "say hi to my daughter Rina Dallago".
The postcard was actually written in 1962.
Mio indirizzo ....

"Dear friend. I'm fine, and I hope you and your Brother are, too.. I've been in Italy for 10 months. I beg you to send me, please, the address of my cousin Joe Dallagos' son, whose name is Arturo Dallago; his mother's name is Silvia, she's Mexican...His legitimate part of heredity is 4 million...come here, as his father died; he married Aychison of 1924"

In the middle, he writes something about "la legittima", that is the part of a heredity that is up to an heir, and can't be given to others...or maybe he means "legitimate wife", but it's not easy to understand.
