My thinking is:

Fusilli is the surname - agreed.
The town - possibly Castella(mmare) Adriatico - Fusilli is a name in the town.
The year - 1924??? The writing is not so clear.

town name makes sense given what i see. thank you for such a quick response.

my go-to site is avitrees.com and it has been down for some time. the site owner's mailbox is full so i am not too hopeful about its resurrection. do you have one or two go-to sites that you use?

thanks so much angela.

No I don't really. Steve Morse's site seems to be really popular here on IG. I can see that it would be a really good site to use if you are Italian American. :)

When I'm not sure of a name I use the Italian White Pages https://www.paginebianche.it/

I also check Indices a lot, when I'm unsure of either the spelling, or whether the name exists in the town.

Family Search is probably my favourite site. I like that it is user friendly. I don't always trust the spelling of names there nor the Family Trees that are there, especially when they don't have the source. Basically for my own records I use either Family Search or the Italian Ancestry site: http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.it mainly to look at civil records there.

When I'm helping people with their British ancestry I like to use Find my Past, but I need to be working at the library because I don't subscribe to it. I also use Ancestry when I'm at the library. Usually though, for my own research I am looking and relooking at records at Family Search and the Italian ancestry site. I also google a lot and type in the questions I have in very basic Italian. That works well.

I know that there are a lot of good sites that have been mentioned here on IG. If you search here on IG, people at various times have added links to really good sites, for different purposes, to help with Italian research. If I see any I usually add them to my own data base, just in case I need them. I could send you my links but some of them might be obsolete now, and a lot of them I haven't really bothered with because they haven't applied.
